Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum (30ml) — Korean Brightening Serum for Dark Spots, Acne Marks & Uneven Skin Tone | Original Korean Skincare in Bangladesh
What Makes This Serum Different?
Dark spots don't disappear with hope alone — they fade with the right actives, at the right concentration, used consistently. The Anua Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum is built precisely for that purpose: a lightweight, fragrance-free Korean brightening serum that combines three of the most clinically studied skin-brightening ingredients into one powerful, yet gentle, formula.
At its core, you get 10% Niacinamide — one of the highest concentrations available in a daily-use serum — paired with 4% Tranexamic Acid (TXA) and 2% Arbutin. This triple-brightening complex works at the melanin production level, meaning it doesn't just cover uneven tone — it works beneath the surface to prevent and reduce the discolouration before it becomes visible. The result is skin that gradually appears clearer, more even, and noticeably more radiant.
What sets this serum apart from most brightening products on the market is how carefully the formula is balanced. Despite the high actives, the texture is watery, non-sticky, and absorbs almost instantly. It doesn't pill under moisturiser, doesn't leave a greasy finish, and doesn't irritate unnecessarily. Ceramide NP and multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid are woven into the formula to ensure the skin stays hydrated and the skin barrier remains intact throughout the brightening process.
For anyone in Bangladesh dealing with post-acne marks, sun-darkened patches, melasma-prone skin, or simply a dull and uneven complexion — this is the serum that makes a measurable difference.
Who Is This Serum For?
This serum was formulated with a wide range of skin concerns in mind, and it performs well across most skin types — including oily, combination, dry, and sensitive skin.
It is especially well-suited for people who struggle with post-acne hyperpigmentation — the dark, reddish-brown marks that linger long after a breakout has cleared. If your acne heals but leaves behind shadows that take months to fade on their own, this serum significantly accelerates that process.
Those dealing with sun damage and uneven skin tone — which is particularly common in Bangladesh's climate — will find the TXA and Arbutin combination highly relevant. These ingredients work against the tyrosinase enzyme that triggers excess melanin production, the same mechanism responsible for sun spots, dark patches, and post-inflammatory darkening.
It is also a strong choice for anyone with dull, lacklustre skin that has lost its natural glow due to environmental stress, lack of sleep, dehydration, or consistent sun exposure. The combination of Vitamin C (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid), Panthenol, and Centella Asiatica Extract in the formula adds a skin-health dimension beyond just brightening.
People who have found typical brightening serums too irritating for daily use often do well with this formula because Tranexamic Acid is notably gentler on the skin than alternatives like Kojic Acid or high-concentration Vitamin C, while still delivering visible results.
Whether you're in your early twenties dealing with acne aftermath, or in your thirties noticing the cumulative effects of sun exposure and stress on your complexion — this serum fits naturally into a daily skincare routine without disruption.
Who Should Approach With Caution?
While the formula is well-tolerated by most skin types, a few considerations are worth noting:
Those with extremely compromised or damaged skin barriers — characterised by constant redness, burning, peeling, or stinging from most products — should allow the barrier to recover before introducing a high-actives serum. Start with barrier-repairing products first, then introduce this serum gradually.
If you have known sensitivity to Niacinamide, particularly at concentrations above 5%, it is advisable to patch test on a small area of skin (such as the inner forearm or behind the ear) for 48–72 hours before applying to the entire face.
Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their dermatologist or physician before using any product containing Tranexamic Acid, as a general precaution.
If you are currently using prescription-strength retinoids, chemical exfoliants like AHAs or strong BHAs, or other high-concentration actives simultaneously, speak with a skincare professional about appropriate layering or alternating schedules to avoid over-sensitising the skin.
A patch test is always recommended, especially if you are new to active ingredient serums.
Skin Problems This Serum Is Designed to Address
The Anua Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum is clinically positioned to improve the appearance of a broad range of common skin concerns:
- Dark spots and hyperpigmentation — including post-acne marks, sun spots, and age spots
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) — the darkening that follows breakouts, rashes, or inflammation
- Melasma-prone skin — patchy, uneven pigmentation often linked to hormonal changes or UV exposure
- Uneven skin tone — overall blotchiness, redness, or areas of discolouration
- Dull, lacklustre complexion — skin that has lost its natural radiance and appears tired or grey
- Rough skin texture — the Betaine Salicylate (BHA) in the formula gently encourages surface cell turnover, improving texture over time
- Enlarged or congested pores — Niacinamide at 10% is one of the most effective ingredients for visibly minimising pore appearance
- Excess sebum and oily skin — Niacinamide regulates sebum production without over-drying
- Dehydration and dryness — Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, and botanical oils deliver and lock in moisture
- Weakened skin barrier — Ceramide NP and Centella Asiatica Extract actively support barrier repair and resilience
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing — a strengthened, well-hydrated skin barrier reduces the appearance of fine lines over time
- Acne-prone skin — Betaine Salicylate helps keep pores clear, and Niacinamide reduces acne-related inflammation
Realistic Results Timeline
Skincare results are deeply personal. They are influenced by skin type, existing pigmentation depth, lifestyle, sun exposure habits, and how consistently the serum is used. No product can guarantee outcomes — but based on how the active ingredients work, here is a realistic understanding of what to expect with regular use:
In the first 7–10 days, most users notice improved skin texture and a more hydrated, comfortable feel throughout the day. The skin may appear slightly more even in tone, and areas of redness may begin to calm. This early stage is largely about hydration, barrier support, and the beginning of surface-level brightening.
By weeks 2–4, the brightening effect of TXA and Arbutin typically becomes more noticeable. Post-acne marks may appear lighter, and overall skin tone looks more balanced. Oily skin types often notice a reduction in midday shine during this period due to Niacinamide's sebum-regulating properties.
After 4–8 weeks of consistent daily use, more visible improvements in deeper pigmentation, dark spots, and complexion clarity are typically observed. The skin appears more luminous, with a healthier, more natural glow.
Results may vary depending on skin type, skin condition, existing pigmentation depth, consistency of use, sun protection habits, and overall skincare routine. Individual outcomes differ.
How to Use This Serum
Step 1 — Cleanse. Begin with a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser to remove impurities, excess oil, and any residual SPF. Pat the skin dry with a soft towel — do not rub.
Step 2 — Apply the Serum. Dispense 3–4 drops of the serum onto your fingertips or directly onto the face. Gently press and pat it into clean, slightly damp skin. Focus additional application on areas of concern such as dark spots, acne marks, or patchy pigmentation. Allow the formula to absorb for 30–60 seconds before the next step.
Step 3 — Layer Correctly. If you use a toner or essence, apply those first before the serum. This serum should be applied before heavier creams, face oils, or moisturisers — not after. Its lightweight, watery texture is designed to penetrate deeply before occlusives seal in the skin.
Step 4 — Moisturise. Follow with your regular moisturiser to seal in hydration and support the skin barrier.
Step 5 — Sunscreen (Morning Use — Non-Negotiable). When using this serum in the morning, SPF30 or higher is essential. Brightening actives like Niacinamide, TXA, and Arbutin work to reduce pigmentation — but without sun protection, UV exposure will continue to stimulate melanin production and counteract your progress. Skipping sunscreen while using a brightening serum is counterproductive.
Can be used morning and night. Beginners may prefer to start with once-daily application (at night) for the first two weeks, then progress to twice daily as the skin adjusts.
Discontinue use if persistent irritation, burning, or significant redness occurs, and consult a dermatologist.
Ingredient Breakdown: What's Inside and Why It Matters
10% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
The backbone of this formula. At 10%, Niacinamide delivers its full spectrum of benefits: it inhibits melanin transfer to skin cells, visibly reducing dark spots and discolouration; it regulates sebum production for oily and combination skin; it strengthens the skin barrier by increasing ceramide synthesis; and it minimises the appearance of pores. At this concentration, it also has meaningful anti-inflammatory effects, making it useful for acne-prone and sensitive skin types. Niacinamide also boosts NAD+ levels in skin cells, which supports cellular repair and overall skin resilience.
4% Tranexamic Acid (TXA)
Tranexamic Acid is one of the most exciting brightening actives in modern skincare — and it is particularly significant because it works differently from most other brightening agents. Rather than simply blocking an enzyme, TXA interferes with the communication between keratinocytes and melanocytes (the skin cells that produce pigment), disrupting the signal that tells the skin to overproduce melanin. This makes it highly effective for conditions like melasma, sun damage, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is also considerably gentler than Kojic Acid or high-concentration Vitamin C, making it appropriate for sensitive skin types.
2% Arbutin + Alpha-Arbutin
Arbutin is a natural derivative of hydroquinone — but without the irritation or long-term concerns associated with hydroquinone. It inhibits the tyrosinase enzyme, reducing melanin production in a targeted, gentle way. Alpha-Arbutin, the more stable and potent form, works synergistically with TXA to amplify the overall brightening effect. Together, these two forms of arbutin help even skin tone from multiple angles.
Ceramide NP
Ceramides are the lipids (fats) that form the mortar between skin cells, maintaining the skin barrier's integrity. When the barrier is compromised — through over-exfoliation, environmental stress, or harsh products — the skin becomes dehydrated, sensitive, and more vulnerable to irritation and breakouts. Including Ceramide NP ensures that this serum supports barrier health even while delivering actives, making it less likely to cause the tightness or sensitivity that some brightening serums produce.
Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Polyglutamic Acid, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate
Rather than relying on a single form of hyaluronic acid, this formula uses multiple molecular weights and derivatives to hydrate at multiple skin depths. Larger molecules sit on the surface and reduce transepidermal water loss; smaller molecules penetrate deeper to hydrate from within. Polyglutamic Acid is particularly impressive — it holds significantly more moisture than standard Hyaluronic Acid and forms a film on the skin that locks hydration in.
Betaine Salicylate (BHA)
A gentler relative of Salicylic Acid, Betaine Salicylate is oil-soluble and able to penetrate into pores to dissolve sebum and dead skin cell buildup. At the concentration used here, it provides mild exfoliation that improves texture and keeps pores clear without the dryness or irritation associated with stronger BHA products. This is particularly valuable for acne-prone skin.
Centella Asiatica Extract (Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid)
A cornerstone of Korean skincare, Centella Asiatica is revered for its ability to calm inflammation, speed up wound healing, and support collagen production. For skin recovering from breakouts or irritation, these actives actively support repair. Centella's anti-inflammatory properties also make the overall serum more appropriate for sensitive skin types.
Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)
A deeply hydrating and soothing ingredient that binds moisture to the skin and supports barrier repair. It also reduces redness and irritation, making it a natural partner for the higher-concentration actives in this formula.
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Stable Vitamin C)
A highly stable derivative of Vitamin C that brightens the complexion, supports collagen synthesis, and provides antioxidant protection against environmental stressors. Unlike pure Ascorbic Acid, this form does not oxidise rapidly and is gentle enough for daily use in combination with other actives.
Botanical Oils (Macadamia, Olive, Jojoba, Grape Seed, Camellia Seed)
A carefully selected blend of nourishing plant oils that provide skin-identical fatty acids, support barrier function, and prevent the formula from feeling stripped or dry despite its watery texture. These oils are used in very small concentrations to add richness without making the serum feel heavy or greasy.
Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract + Eclipta Prostrata Extract
Traditional herbal ingredients with brightening and antioxidant properties, used in natural skincare for their ability to improve skin clarity and reduce the appearance of pigmentation over time.
Yeast Ferment Extract
Rich in amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that nourish the skin and support a healthy, glowing complexion. Fermented ingredients are particularly prized in Korean skincare for their enhanced bioavailability and skin-compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Anua Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum suitable for all skin types?
Yes. The formula is designed to be compatible with all skin types — oily, dry, combination, normal, and sensitive. Its non-greasy, watery texture makes it particularly well-suited to oily and combination skin, while the ceramide and hyaluronic acid content makes it comfortable for dry skin as well.
Can I use this serum if I have acne-prone skin?
Yes, this serum is suitable for acne-prone skin. Niacinamide reduces excess sebum and inflammation, Betaine Salicylate keeps pores clear, and the formula is fragrance-free and free from common pore-clogging ingredients. It also helps fade the post-acne dark marks that remain after breakouts clear.
Does this serum contain fragrance?
No. The Anua Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum is completely fragrance-free, which makes it appropriate even for those with fragrance-sensitive or reactive skin.
Can this serum be used with Vitamin C or Retinol?
Yes, but with care. Niacinamide is safe to use alongside most Vitamin C derivatives. If you are using a high-strength Retinol or Retinoid prescription, it is advisable to alternate use — serum in the morning, Retinol at night, for example — and consult with a skincare professional about your specific routine.
How long before I see results?
Visible brightening and improvement in dark spots typically becomes noticeable after 4–8 weeks of consistent daily use. Hydration and texture improvements are often felt within the first 1–2 weeks. Pigmentation that is deeper or of longer duration may take longer. Consistent SPF use dramatically accelerates visible results.
Is this serum safe during pregnancy?
As a general precaution, pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their doctor or dermatologist before using any product containing Tranexamic Acid.
What is the best way to use this serum for dark spots specifically?
Apply a few drops to clean skin and pat directly onto dark spots and areas of discolouration. Use morning and night for best results, and always follow with SPF30 or higher during the day. Consistency is the key factor — the active ingredients work cumulatively over time.
Is the Anua Niacinamide Serum available in Bangladesh?
Yes. You can order the original Anua Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum in Bangladesh directly from thealoy.com with fast, reliable delivery. We stock only authentic, original Korean skincare products in Bangladesh.
What is TXA (Tranexamic Acid) and why is it better than some other brightening ingredients?
TXA stands for Tranexamic Acid, a synthetic amino acid derivative that works by disrupting the melanin production pathway at a cellular communication level. Unlike Kojic Acid, it rarely causes irritation or sensitisation. Unlike high-concentration Vitamin C, it does not oxidise or cause instability issues. It is considered one of the most promising and dermatologist-recommended brightening ingredients available in over-the-counter skincare.
Can I use this serum with a moisturiser?
Absolutely. Apply the serum first, allow it to absorb for 30–60 seconds, then follow with your moisturiser. The serum is formulated to layer cleanly beneath any moisturiser without pilling or interfering with the next steps in your routine.
What SPF should I use with this serum?
A minimum of SPF30 is recommended, but SPF50 or higher is ideal — especially in Bangladesh's climate where UV index levels are consistently high. Applying SPF daily while using this serum is not optional; it is essential to protect the progress the actives are making and prevent further pigmentation from UV exposure.
