CARE:NEL Derma Alpha Arbutin Glutathione Whitening Cream (45ml) — Korean Day & Night Brightening Cream with Alpha Arbutin 2% (20,000ppm), Glutathione 0.15% & Marine Collagen | Sebum Care & Non-Greasy | All Skin Types | Made in Korea
Five Skin Goals. One Cream. Morning and Night.
The packaging of the CARE:NEL Derma Alpha Arbutin Glutathione Whitening Cream is unusually specific: Whiten up skin. Younger looking skin. Dehydrated skin care. Dark spot care. Reduce discolorations. Five explicit skin goals — and the formula behind them delivers at clinical concentrations rather than cosmetic trace amounts.
Available at thealoy.com, this 45ml day and night whitening cream is built on a three-active brightening complex: Alpha Arbutin at 2% (20,000ppm), Glutathione at 0.15% (1,500ppm), and Niacinamide at 2% — each inhibiting melanin through a different pathway, creating a triple-action approach to hyperpigmentation correction that is significantly more effective than single-active formulas. Marine Collagen handles the anti-ageing component, while a Cica complex of Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, and Madecassic Acid provides soothing and barrier support throughout.
The lightweight, sebum-care, non-greasy formula means this is a whitening cream that works for oily skin too — not just dry skin types.
Skin Type Suitability
- All skin types — dermatologically tested; non-greasy, sebum-care formula absorbs without heaviness
- Oily and combination skin — specifically described as "sebum care & non-greasy" — a genuine distinction from most whitening creams which tend to be richer
- Dry and dehydrated skin — Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, and Cetearyl Olivate maintain moisture; dehydrated skin care is an explicit packaging claim
- Skin with dark spots, melasma, freckles — the primary target audience; Alpha Arbutin + Glutathione + Niacinamide triple approach addresses multiple pigmentation causes
- Sensitive skin — Cica complex (Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid) soothes; Titanium Dioxide provides gentle physical UV tone-up
Who Is This Product For?
- Anyone dealing with stubborn dark spots, freckles, post-acne marks, or melasma who wants a single, well-concentrated whitening cream suitable for both day and night use
- People with oily skin who have struggled to find a whitening cream with a non-greasy texture
- Those who want clinical-level active concentrations (Alpha Arbutin 20,000ppm + Glutathione 1,500ppm) in an accessible daily cream format
- Anyone in Bangladesh searching for the best whitening cream for dark spots in Bangladesh or a Korean Alpha Arbutin cream available in Bangladesh — now at thealoy.com with verified authenticity
Who Should Avoid This Product?
- Those with fragrance sensitivity — the formula contains Fragrance, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, and Limonene. Patch test on the inner wrist before full use if fragrance-reactive
- Those who need PA++++ maximum UVA protection — Titanium Dioxide provides some UV-scattering but this is a whitening cream, not a dedicated sunscreen. Always apply a separate broad-spectrum SPF in the morning on top of this cream
- Pregnant women — contains Alpha Arbutin and Glutathione; consult your OB-GYN or dermatologist before use during pregnancy
Skin Concerns It Helps With
- Dark spots and post-acne marks — Alpha Arbutin at 20,000ppm effectively inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production, progressively fading existing discolouration
- Melasma and freckles — triple-pathway melanin suppression through Alpha Arbutin (tyrosinase inhibition), Glutathione (melanin-type switching), and Niacinamide (melanosome transfer inhibition)
- Uneven skin tone and dullness — Niacinamide progressively evens and brightens; Titanium Dioxide provides an instant optical tone-up upon application
- Dehydration — Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, and Cetearyl Olivate maintain moisture throughout the day and night
- Fine lines and loss of elasticity — Marine Collagen supports skin firmness and gives a younger-looking skin appearance
- Sebum overproduction — the sebum-care formula is specifically designed to manage oiliness without sacrificing whitening efficacy
What Results Can You Realistically Expect?
Immediately: Lightweight, non-greasy cream absorbs quickly. Titanium Dioxide provides an instant optical brightening and tone-up effect from the first application.
Within 2 to 4 weeks: The powerful combination of alpha arbutin 20,000ppm, glutathione 1,500ppm, and marine collagen targets dark spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone with visible progressive fading.
30 days and beyond: Triple-pathway melanin inhibition delivers a meaningfully more even, brighter complexion. Consistent daily morning and evening use combined with SPF produces the most visible and sustained results.
Always pair with daily SPF in the morning for maximum brightening results.
How to Use
- After cleansing and toner, apply this cream as the final moisturising step — morning and evening
- Take a pea-to-coin-sized amount and apply gently along the skin texture in the cream stage
- Pat gently until fully absorbed — do not rub
- Morning: Always follow with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Sun protection is essential when using a whitening cream — UV exposure directly counteracts brightening actives
- Evening: This is your night treatment step — apply generously and allow to work through the overnight skin repair cycle
Ingredient Breakdown
Full Verified Ingredient List:
Purified Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Alpha-Arbutin (2%), Niacinamide (2%), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Titanium Dioxide, Glutathione (0.15%), Hydrolyzed Collagen Extract, Sorbitan Olivate, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Vinyl Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Isononyl Isononanoate, T-Butyl Alcohol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Aluminum Hydroxide, Ethoxydiglycol, Butylene Glycol, Octyldodecanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Asiaticoside, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Glycolipids, C12-13 Pareth-9, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Extract, Fragrance, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Limonene
Alpha-Arbutin (2% / 20,000ppm)
The primary brightening active. Alpha-Arbutin is a glycosylated form of hydroquinone — it inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin synthesis, without the skin-irritation concerns of hydroquinone itself. At 2%, this is a functional, clinical concentration significantly above the trace amounts found in many brightening formulas. Alpha-Arbutin is considered one of the most effective safe alternatives to hydroquinone for targeted dark spot and hyperpigmentation reduction.
Glutathione (0.15% / 1,500ppm)
A tripeptide antioxidant naturally present in every cell. In skincare, Glutathione works as a melanin suppressor by switching melanin synthesis from eumelanin (dark pigment) to pheomelanin (lighter pigment) — a mechanism different from and complementary to Arbutin's tyrosinase inhibition. At 1,500ppm, it is present at a meaningful concentration for cumulative antioxidant and brightening action.
Niacinamide (2%)
Inhibits melanosome transfer — the third distinct melanin-suppression pathway alongside Arbutin and Glutathione. Also strengthens the skin barrier, reduces sebum production, and provides anti-inflammatory soothing. Its 2% concentration in this formula is a supporting active dose that complements the primary brighteners.
Hydrolyzed Collagen Extract (Marine Collagen)
Marine Collagen provides amino acid building blocks that support the skin's own collagen matrix. Enhances skin elasticity and firmness, contributing to the "younger looking skin" claim and providing meaningful anti-ageing support alongside the whitening complex.
Cica Complex (Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid)
Three of the primary active compounds from Centella Asiatica — soothing, barrier-repairing, and anti-inflammatory. Their inclusion ensures the brightening actives are well-tolerated and that the formula is comfortable for sensitive skin types.
Titanium Dioxide
A physical UV-scattering ingredient and optical brightener that provides an immediate tone-up and slightly brightening effect upon application — making skin look more even and radiant right away, even before the active ingredients have time to work cumulatively.
Botanical Support Complex (Pueraria Lobata / Kudzu Root, Pinus Palustris Leaf, Ulmus Davidiana Root, Oenothera Biennis / Evening Primrose)
Four plant-derived extracts providing antioxidant and soothing support — protecting the skin against environmental oxidative stress and maintaining skin comfort throughout daily use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Alpha Arbutin and regular (Beta) Arbutin?
Alpha-Arbutin is the optical isomer of Beta-Arbutin and is considered significantly more stable and effective at inhibiting tyrosinase. Research has shown Alpha-Arbutin is more potent at suppressing melanin production compared to Beta-Arbutin at the same concentration. This formula uses Alpha-Arbutin specifically for this reason.
Does this cream work for melasma?
Yes — the triple-action approach of Alpha-Arbutin (tyrosinase inhibition), Glutathione (melanin type switching), and Niacinamide (melanosome transfer inhibition) addresses melanin overproduction through three separate pathways, making it one of the more comprehensive over-the-counter melasma treatments available. Consistent use alongside daily SPF is essential for results.
Can I use this as my only moisturiser?
Yes for most skin types — particularly oily and combination skin where the non-greasy, sebum-care formula provides adequate moisture. Very dry skin types may benefit from layering a richer moisturiser underneath at night.
Do I need to use sunscreen with this cream?
Yes — always. This is a whitening cream, not a sunscreen. UV exposure directly triggers and worsens the melanin production this cream is working to reduce. Always apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher over this cream every morning.
Is the original CARE:NEL Alpha Arbutin Whitening Cream available in Bangladesh?
Yes. Purchase the 100% authentic CARE:NEL Derma Alpha Arbutin Glutathione Whitening Cream (45ml) directly at thealoy.com — Bangladesh's trusted Korean skincare destination with fast nationwide delivery.
How long does 45ml last?
