MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ (50ml) — Korean Lightweight Sunscreen for Face | Water & Sweat Resistant | Hydrating & Cooling | All Skin Types | Dermatologically Tested
The Last Step Your Skin Actually Needs
Every brightening serum, every treatment cream, every carefully chosen moisturiser — all of it is undone the moment you step into the sun without proper protection. UV radiation is the single biggest driver of premature ageing, hyperpigmentation, melasma, dark spots, and skin damage. And yet, the reason most people skip sunscreen is not a lack of awareness — it is the texture. The heaviness. The white cast. The greasy finish that sits on skin all day.
The MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++, available at thealoy.com, was engineered to remove every excuse. This is a sunscreen that people actually want to wear — a refreshing, cooling, water-gel formula that absorbs completely within seconds, leaves a perfectly clean, matte-to-dewy finish, and protects skin at the highest possible rating for both UVA and UVB rays.
SPF50+ blocks over 98% of UVB rays. PA++++ is the maximum rating for UVA protection available on the Korean sunscreen grading system — the gold standard in sun protection. Combined with a multi-filter UV complex and a deeply hydrating supporting cast of triple-layered Hyaluronic Acid, Beta-Glucan, and Vitamin E, this sunscreen does not just block the sun — it actively cares for the skin while doing it.
In Bangladesh's climate — intense UV exposure year-round, high humidity, heat, and frequent sweating — this is not a luxury. It is an essential. And you can get the authentic version right here at thealoy.com.
Skin Type Suitability
The MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel is suitable for all skin types and is particularly well-loved by:
- Oily and combination skin — the water-gel, non-greasy texture is one of the few sunscreens that genuinely does not add shine or heaviness to already-oily skin. It absorbs completely and controls excess grease rather than contributing to it
- Normal skin — provides clean, comfortable, all-day protection without disrupting the skin's natural balance
- Dry and dehydrated skin — triple Hyaluronic Acid and Beta-Glucan keep skin hydrated and comfortable throughout the day, making this unusually nourishing for a sunscreen
- Sensitive skin prone to redness or irritation — Guaiazulene, a calming blue-pigment extract, and the gentle, skin-friendly filter selection make this one of the more comfortable sunscreens for reactive skin
- Skin with existing hyperpigmentation, melasma, or dark spots — daily broad-spectrum SPF50+ PA++++ protection is arguably the single most important step in any anti-pigmentation routine, preventing new damage while treatments work on existing discolouration
Who Is This Product For?
The MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel is for anyone who understands that sunscreen is not optional — and wants one that fits seamlessly into daily life without feeling like a burden:
- People in Bangladesh dealing with intense year-round sun exposure who need a reliable, high-protection daily sunscreen that does not feel suffocating in humid weather
- Those who have struggled to find a sunscreen for oily or combination skin in Bangladesh that does not cause breakouts, greasiness, or a heavy finish — this water-gel formula is widely regarded as one of the best options for exactly this skin type
- Anyone actively working to fade hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma, or post-acne marks with brightening products — sunscreen is the essential partner that makes every other treatment more effective by preventing further UV-triggered pigmentation
- People who want to use their sunscreen as a makeup base — the smooth, even finish left by this formula makes foundation apply flawlessly over it
- Those searching for the best sunscreen for oily skin in Bangladesh or the best Korean sunscreen available in Bangladesh — available now with verified authenticity at thealoy.com
Who Should Avoid This Product?
While this sunscreen is broadly suitable for all skin types, the following should take note:
- Those with known fragrance sensitivity — the formula contains a fragrance component. If you have previously reacted to fragranced skincare, patch test before full facial use
- Those seeking a completely alcohol-free sunscreen — some versions of the MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel formula contain Alcohol Denat. as part of the texture base, which contributes to its fast-drying, non-greasy feel but may occasionally cause sensitivity in those with very dry or alcohol-reactive skin
- Those wanting purely mineral/physical sunscreen — this is a chemical (organic filter) sunscreen. It uses synthetic UV absorbers rather than zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. If you require a purely mineral sunscreen for medical or personal reasons, this is not suitable
- Very young children — chemical sunscreen filters are generally recommended from age 6 months onwards, and a paediatrician's guidance is advised for young children's sun protection needs
- Pregnant women — while this is a widely used formulation, some expectant mothers prefer to avoid certain chemical UV filters during pregnancy. Consult your dermatologist or OB-GYN for personalised guidance
Skin Concerns It Helps With
Beyond UV protection, the MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel actively addresses several additional skin concerns through its supportive ingredient complex:
- Sun damage and UV-induced ageing — SPF50+ PA++++ provides maximum available protection against the UV rays that cause collagen breakdown, fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness
- Hyperpigmentation and dark spots — consistent daily use of broad-spectrum high-SPF sunscreen is clinically recognised as the most important preventive step for people prone to pigmentation, and the single most critical factor in making brightening treatments effective
- Melasma — melasma is almost universally worsened by UV exposure. Wearing PA++++ rated sunscreen daily is non-negotiable for anyone managing melasma, and this formula's comfortable texture makes daily compliance genuinely achievable
- Dehydration and moisture loss — triple Hyaluronic Acid and Beta-Glucan maintain skin hydration throughout the day, preventing the tightness and discomfort that heat and sun exposure commonly cause
- Redness and sensitivity — Guaiazulene provides a calming, anti-inflammatory effect that soothes reactive skin throughout the day
- Free radical damage from environmental exposure — Tocopherol (Vitamin E) neutralises free radicals generated by UV exposure and urban pollution, providing an additional antioxidant defence layer beyond the UV filters
- Sweat-related SPF breakdown — the water and sweat resistant formula maintains its protective integrity through perspiration, which is critically important in Bangladesh's humid, high-temperature climate
What Results Can You Realistically Expect?
Sun protection works through prevention, not correction. The benefits of consistent daily use become evident over time:
Immediate (from first use):
Skin feels comfortable, hydrated, and protected. The cooling, refreshing gel texture provides instant relief — particularly noticeable when applied on warm skin after morning cleansing. No white cast, no greasiness, no heavy film. Makeup applies smoothly over it.
Within 2 to 4 weeks of consistent daily use:
If you have been experiencing ongoing sun-induced flushing, new dark spots, or accelerating skin dullness, these may begin to stabilise with daily SPF protection. Existing brightening treatments in your routine will start showing better results now that new UV damage is being prevented.
Long-term (3 months and beyond):
Consistent high-SPF sun protection is one of the most evidence-backed anti-ageing and anti-pigmentation strategies available. Skin that is consistently protected from UV damage ages more slowly, retains a more even tone, and responds more effectively to any active ingredients in the rest of the routine.
Sun protection is a preventive measure. Results in terms of existing damage correction depend on the treatment products used alongside this sunscreen. This product does not reverse existing pigmentation or wrinkles on its own.
How to Use
Step 1 — Complete your skincare routine first. Apply toner, essence, serum, and moisturiser as usual. Allow the final product to absorb before proceeding.
Step 2 — Apply sunscreen last. Sunscreen should always be the final step of your morning skincare routine, applied directly before makeup or going outdoors.
Step 3 — Use enough. This is the step most people get wrong. Apply a generous amount — approximately a teaspoon (2–3 finger lengths) for the full face. Using too little dramatically reduces the effective SPF level you actually receive.
Step 4 — Spread evenly. Apply to the entire face, neck, and any exposed areas. Blend gently using upward motions until the gel absorbs completely.
Step 5 — Allow to set for 1–2 minutes before applying makeup if needed. The smooth, even base enhances makeup application and longevity.
Reapplication: Reapply every 2 hours during prolonged outdoor exposure, and immediately after heavy sweating or towelling.
Important: This sunscreen is not a substitute for protective clothing, shade, or limiting peak-hour sun exposure (10am–4pm). For maximum protection, use all strategies together.
Ingredient Breakdown
Multi-Filter UV Complex (Homosalate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Polysilicone-15)
Rather than relying on a single UV absorber, the MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel uses a carefully selected combination of modern chemical UV filters, each covering different parts of the UV spectrum. This multi-filter approach is the reason the formula achieves SPF50+ and PA++++ protection — the individual filters complement each other's absorption ranges to create a comprehensive, seamless UV shield across both UVA and UVB wavelengths. Modern European and Korean UV filters like Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (Tinosorb S) and Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol (Tinosorb M) are considered among the most photostable and effective UV filters available globally.
Triple Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate)
Most sunscreens contain one form of hyaluronic acid at best. This formula includes three — each with a different molecular size that penetrates the skin at a different depth. Sodium Hyaluronate works at the surface, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid penetrates more deeply, and Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate forms a longer-lasting moisture film that provides extended hydration. Together, they maintain skin plumpness, softness, and comfort throughout the day — an unusually generous hydration complex for a sunscreen.
Beta-Glucan
A powerful skin-soothing and hydrating polysaccharide derived from oats or yeast. Beta-Glucan is clinically recognised for its ability to calm inflammation, accelerate skin repair, and strengthen the skin's natural defence mechanisms. Its inclusion helps keep sensitive or reactive skin calm and comfortable during extended sun exposure.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
A fat-soluble antioxidant that neutralises the free radicals generated when UV filters absorb UV radiation — a process that, without antioxidant support, can create reactive oxygen species that damage skin cells. Vitamin E essentially enhances the protective value of the UV filters and protects the overall stability of the formula.
Guaiazulene
A naturally derived blue-pigment compound with notable anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It calms redness, reduces irritation, and provides a gentle protective effect against environmental stressors — making the formula particularly comfortable for sensitive or easily flushed skin.
Glycerin
A foundational humectant that draws environmental moisture into the skin, preventing the dryness and tightness that sun and heat exposure commonly cause.
Glyceryl Glucoside
A hydration-enhancing molecule that supports the skin's aquaporin channels — the pathways through which water moves between skin cells — contributing to the sustained, comfortable hydration this formula delivers throughout the day.
Caprylyl Methicone & Dimethicone (in some versions)
Lightweight silicone-derived compounds that give the formula its silky, fast-absorbing texture and contribute to the comfortable, non-greasy skin feel. They also help the UV filters distribute evenly across the skin surface, supporting consistent protection.
About MISSHA
MISSHA is one of South Korea's most iconic and enduring skincare brands. Founded in 2000 as an online platform under Able C&C Co., Ltd., MISSHA began as South Korea's first cosmetics brand shop model focused on delivering high-quality, effective products at accessible prices. By 2002, its first physical franchise had opened, and by 2004, the brand had grown to over 200 franchises worldwide — a remarkable early expansion that reflected both the quality of its formulations and the loyalty it inspired.
Today, MISSHA has over 10 million customers globally and has sold more than 130 million BB creams worldwide. The brand's philosophy has always centred on one idea: that high-performance skincare should be accessible to everyone. Frequently Asked Questions
Is the MISSHA Aqua Sun Gel suitable for oily skin?
Yes — it is one of the most highly recommended sunscreens specifically for oily skin. The water-gel, non-comedogenic formula absorbs completely without leaving a greasy or heavy residue. Many oily-skin users find it controls shine rather than adding to it.
Does this sunscreen leave a white cast?
No. The chemical (organic) UV filter formulation means there is no titanium dioxide or zinc oxide to cause the white cast associated with physical sunscreens. It absorbs invisibly and is suitable for all skin tones.
What does PA++++ mean?
PA++++ is the highest tier of UVA protection on the Korean and Japanese sunscreen grading system. UVA rays are responsible for tanning, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and deep collagen damage that accelerates skin ageing. PA++++ indicates the product provides very high protection against all of these. Alongside SPF50+, this sunscreen provides comprehensive protection at the highest available standard.
Can I use this sunscreen as a makeup base?
Yes. The smooth, even, fast-absorbing finish makes it an excellent primer. Allow it to set for 1–2 minutes after application, then apply foundation or BB cream as usual.
Is this sunscreen water and sweat resistant?
Yes. The formula is designed to be resistant to water, sweat, and sebum — which is particularly important for Bangladesh's hot, humid climate. However, reapplication every 2 hours during prolonged outdoor activity is still strongly recommended for maximum protection.
Can I use this with Vitamin C serum or Niacinamide?
Yes. This sunscreen is the final step in your morning routine and layers well over all active serums and moisturisers. Apply your actives first, allow them to absorb, and finish with this sunscreen.
Is the original MISSHA Aqua Sun available in Bangladesh?
Yes. You can purchase the 100% authentic MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Aqua Sun SPF50+ PA++++ at thealoy.com — Bangladesh's trusted online Korean skincare destination with fast home delivery available nationwide.
How much sunscreen should I apply to my face?
Most people significantly under-apply sunscreen, which dramatically reduces the effective protection level. For the face alone, use approximately a teaspoon — roughly the equivalent of two to three finger lengths of product. This is the amount used in SPF testing to achieve the rated protection.
Can I use this sunscreen on my body as well?
Yes, though it is formulated primarily for the face. For large body areas requiring protection, a dedicated body sunscreen would be more economical.
How long does a 50ml tube last?
With once-daily application at the recommended amount for the face and neck, a 50ml tube typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks. If you are reapplying during the day or applying to additional areas, it will last proportionally less.
For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation or allergic reaction develops and consult a dermatologist. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
