NIVEA Derma SOS Care Body Lotion (400ml) — 72-Hour Deep Moisture Body Lotion with Dexpanthenol (Deep Care Essence) | Calms Dry, Itchy & Irritated Skin | Dermatologically Tested | All Skin Types | Made in Korea
72 Hours of Moisture. From the Very First Application.
Dry, tight, itchy body skin is not just uncomfortable — it is a sign that the skin barrier has been compromised. Moisture is escaping faster than it can be replaced, and the skin's natural moisturising factors are depleted. Applying a regular body lotion provides temporary relief; what the skin actually needs is a formula that both replenishes moisture and prevents it from leaving again.
The NIVEA Derma SOS Care Body Lotion, available at thealoy.com, was engineered for exactly this. The highly effective formula works in two ways: it is infused with the unique NIVEA Deep Care Essence and soothing Dexpanthenol that strengthens the skin barrier to prevent moisture loss. Used regularly, it gives a comfortable skin feeling, relieving skin from tightness for 72 hours.
This Korean market formulation carries the "Derma SOS Care" designation — positioning it as NIVEA's clinical-level rescue formula for the most compromised, reactive, and moisture-deprived body skin. The 400ml pump bottle is generously sized for whole-body daily use.
Skin Type Suitability
- Dry and very dry skin — the primary target; 72-hour moisture claim is specifically validated for dry skin types
- Itchy and sensitive skin — Dexpanthenol soothes extreme dryness-induced itching from the first application
- Eczema-prone and irritated skin — formula strengthens the skin barrier and calms irritated areas; suitable for eczema-prone skin
- Normal skin — provides long-lasting, comfortable daily moisture without heaviness
- All skin types — dermatologically tested, non-greasy formula suitable for daily whole-body use
Who Is This Product For?
- Those whose body skin feels chronically dry, tight, or itchy — particularly on shins, elbows, knees, and lower legs where dryness is most pronounced
- People with sensitive, reactive, or eczema-prone body skin who need a dermatologically-tested formula that soothes without irritating
- Anyone who has been applying body lotion daily but not getting long-lasting results — the 72-hour moisture claim addresses the need for genuine sustained hydration rather than temporary surface softening
- Those in Bangladesh searching for the best body lotion for dry itchy skin in Bangladesh or the original NIVEA SOS Care body lotion in Bangladesh — now at thealoy.com
Who Should Avoid This Product?
- Those who strictly avoid parabens — the formula contains Methylparaben and Ethylparaben as preservatives. Those on a strictly paraben-free routine should note this
- Those with fragrance sensitivity — the formula contains Perfume, Linalool, and Benzyl Alcohol. Patch test on the inner arm before full-body use if fragrance-reactive
- Infants and young children — while safe for adults and older children, consult a paediatrician before applying to infants under 3 years
Skin Concerns It Helps With
- Extreme dryness and tight, uncomfortable body skin — 72-hour moisture relief from the first application; prevents moisture evaporation through the skin barrier
- Dry skin-induced itchiness — Dexpanthenol calms and relieves the itchy sensation caused by extreme skin dryness
- Rough and flaky body skin — the deep moisture formula softens rough patches on elbows, shins, and knees with regular use
- Irritated and reactive body skin — instantly calms irritated areas after just one application
- Weakened skin barrier — Dexpanthenol plays a decisive role in the formation of skin cells and in overall skin metabolism, increases the stratum corneum's water-binding ability, and improves barrier elasticity
- Post-shower moisture loss — the deep moisture serum binds water in the skin and prevents it from evaporating into the environment after bathing
What Results Can You Realistically Expect?
After first application: It soothes rough, dry skin and instantly calms irritated areas after just 1 application. The fast-absorbing, non-greasy formula spreads easily and does not leave a sticky or heavy residue.
With regular daily use: The formula with 10% complex of Glycerin, Provitamin B5, and Niacinamide immediately calms itchy skin feeling and provides a healthy look. Strengthens the skin barrier to prevent moisture loss while nourishing the skin and deeply moisturising for 72h.
Long-term: Skin maintains a consistently better moisture balance, feels softer and less prone to tightness and itchiness throughout the day.
How to Use
- Apply daily after bathing or showering, while skin is still slightly damp for best absorption
- Pump a generous amount and apply to the whole body
- Massage in circular motions until fully absorbed
- Reapply to particularly dry, tight, or itchy areas as needed throughout the day
- For elbows, knees, and lower legs — apply extra product and allow more time to absorb
Frequency: Daily — ideally once or twice per day, especially in the morning after showering.

Dexpanthenol (Panthenol / Provitamin B5) — Deep Care Essence
The star active and the clinical heart of this formula. Dexpanthenol, also known as pro-vitamin B5, plays a decisive role in the formation of skin cells as well as in the overall skin metabolism. It increases the ability of the stratum corneum to bind water and improves its elasticity. In skincare, Dexpanthenol converts to Pantothenic Acid in the skin, accelerating barrier repair, reducing inflammation, and providing the long-lasting soothing that makes this formula effective for itchy, irritated, and compromised body skin.
NIVEA Deep Care Essence (Glycerin + Glyceryl Glucoside + Moisturising Lipids)
A unique composition of skin's own moisturiser, moisture-locking lipids and care oils that bind and hold water in the skin so the moisture cannot evaporate easily into the surrounding area. Glycerin is the primary humectant; Glyceryl Glucoside enhances the skin's aquaporin channels — the pathways through which water moves between cells — for improved cellular hydration.
Dimethicone
A lightweight silicone that forms a breathable, non-occlusive protective barrier on the skin surface, reducing trans-epidermal water loss and contributing to the 72-hour moisture retention effect.
Cera Microcristallina (Microcrystalline Wax) + Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides
Waxy emollients that lock moisture into the skin surface and provide the lasting softness and smoothness that develops with regular use.
C13-16 Isoparaffin + Paraffinum Liquidum
Lightweight mineral oil-derived emollients that contribute to the smooth, easy-to-apply texture and the non-greasy skin feel after absorption.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Dexpanthenol do for skin?
Dexpanthenol (Provitamin B5) converts to Pantothenic Acid in the skin where it plays a decisive role in skin cell formation and skin metabolism. It increases the stratum corneum's ability to bind water and improves its elasticity — making it the key ingredient for repairing dry, compromised skin barriers and providing lasting moisture relief.
Does this body lotion really work for 72 hours?
The 72-hour claim refers to continued regular use — not a single application. With daily use, the formula's combination of Dexpanthenol and Deep Care Essence progressively improves the skin's barrier function and moisture retention, maintaining skin comfort for up to 72 hours between applications.
Is this suitable for eczema-prone skin?
The formula soothes and alleviates symptoms associated with eczema-prone skin. It calms irritated areas and is suitable for very dry and sensitive skin. For active eczema flares or medically diagnosed eczema, consult your dermatologist before use.
Is the original NIVEA Derma SOS Care Body Lotion available in Bangladesh?
Yes. Purchase the 100% authentic NIVEA Derma SOS Care Body Lotion (400ml) directly at thealoy.com — Bangladesh's trusted skincare destination with fast nationwide delivery.
How long does 400ml last?
With daily full-body application, 400ml typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks depending on usage amount.
Can I use this on my face?
This is formulated for body use. For facial skin, NIVEA's dedicated face moisturisers are more appropriate as they are formulated for the thinner, more sensitive facial skin.
For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
